CALL FOR PAPERS – DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACTS –
15 SEPTEMBER 2015
The theme of the conference is “Transforming the future of infrastructure through smarter information”, and will bring together world-leading academics and practitioners from the fields of infrastructure planning, asset management and sensing. The unique combination of fields and disciplines focusing on the power of smarter information will provide opportunities to confront persistent barriers and develop novel, proactive solutions.
Key topics for the sessions will be:
· Cities - The role of planning in enhancing resilience and adaptability of the urban environment; how investment in infrastructure creates societal value and promotes economic development
· Assets - Whole life approaches to asset management; futureproofing considerations for infrastructure asset management
· Sensors - How better information can inform flexible design, improved resilience and life extension; the role of sensing in performance-based design and condition-based maintenance
Presenters will be encouraged to highlight the theoretical insights and practical implications to a multi-disciplinary audience that is attracted to new, transformative ideas.

· Notification of acceptance: 30 September 2015
· Full paper submission: 30 November 2015
· Early registration deadline: 1 May 2016
